First I would like to introduce my self. My name is Lauren and I live in Kent, which is a South-East County of England, UK. I have one daughter from my first marriage, who has given me the great privilege of making me a grand-mother with two daughters of her own. Graham, the love of my life is from Birmingham and has a son and a daughter from his previous marriage My first marriage involved many years of me being subjected to domestic violence until I finally found the courage to do something about it and get out. It was never easy, and in time, I learnt to be a stronger person. If you are in a relationship, that involves domestic violence of any sort, then please checkout my helpful links and advice. I hope this site will offer some kind of hope, encouragement and support in ending the abuse, so that you can go on to lead a better life as I have. This covers things like - some of the countries I have lived in, the loss of my parents, dealing with and coming to terms with my Disability, Acts of Injustice and of course Domestic Violence. I hope to be adding new things regularly and offer helpful links, so please check back often. I am currently working out in the community as a carer for elderly and disabled people. I get to meet many interesting people and view first hand the issues they are faced with on a day to day basis - please read my section called Social Issues for more information on this.
